About this variety
Arbequina is the most widely grown olive variety in the Mediterranean, native to Catalonia and present in numerous Spanish PDOs. It produces oils with a mild and delicate profile, featuring fruity notes of green apple and fresh almond, with little heat and very moderate bitterness. Ideal for dressing salads, making vinaigrettes and mayonnaises, and pairing with fish or seafood. Its versatility makes it the favourite variety for those just discovering extra virgin olive oil.
