About this variety
Empeltre is the quintessential native variety of Aragon, cultivated mainly in Bajo Aragón. It is characterised by producing oils of great sweetness and low acidity, with a very mild profile of almond, ripe apple and tropical fruit notes, with practically imperceptible pungency and bitterness. Its delicacy makes it particularly appreciated for raw consumption, dessert preparation and as a gift oil.
